Elena L. Rorabaugh

Elena Rorabaugh is an associate in the Energy and Natural Resources Group at Babst Calland. Her practice focuses primarily on counseling various energy, oil, gas and mineral-related clients on transaction matters, including title examination, title curative, oil and gas title opinions, and due diligence.
Ms. Rorabaugh graduated summa cum laude from Duquesne University in 2006 with a B.A. in Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in NCAA Division I Swimming and received several recognitions including the Director of Athletics Honor Roll for a consecutive four years. Ms. Rorabaugh received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Duquesne University School of Law in 2009 where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Sales, and was admitted to the Order of the Barristers. She was also selected as a Teaching Assistant for Duquesne’s Legal Research and Writing Program and for the National Tax Appellate Moot Court Competition.
Prior to joining Babst Calland, Ms. Rorabaugh clerked for the Court of Common Pleas of Greene County and later was an associate at a law firm in Indiana, PA where she worked on title and curative measures for natural gas development companies.
Memberships and Affiliations
Ms. Rorabaugh is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL, and the Pittsburgh Chapter of Young Professionals in Energy.
