Area of Emphasis
Ashley Lypson is an associate in the Energy & Natural Resources and Business Services Groups of Babst Calland.
Ms. Lypson counsels various energy, oil, gas and mineral-related clients on transaction matters as they relate to gas title issues and opinions.
Background
Ms. Lypson received her B.A., with a double major in English and Political Science, from Allegheny College, where she graduated as an Alden Scholar. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Duquesne University School of Law, where she participated in Duquesne University’s Big Brother/Big Sister Mentoring Program and was an active member of the Women’s Law Association. During law school, Ms. Lypson was a summer clerk for the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. After law school she worked as an attorney for MarcellusUSA, where she examined oil and gas leases and related documents and researched Pennsylvania oil and has ordinances.
Memberships and Affiliations
Ms. Lypson is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania State Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Environmental and Energy Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and a member of the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.
