Ben Milleville is an associate in the Business Services and Natural Resources Groups of Babst Calland.
Mr. Milleville’s practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, negotiation and drafting of contracts, and taxation and business planning and structuring for corporate and nonprofit clients. He also has experience with issues concerning oil and gas development, including title analysis for Marcellus Shale developers.
Background
Mr. Milleville received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2004, earning a B.A. in Psychology. He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Milleville served as Notes Editor and a member of the Pittsburgh Tax Review. He also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Taxation of Corporate Reorganizations and Federal Tax Policy and Procedure.
While completing his undergraduate degree and prior to attending law school, Mr. Milleville worked for the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Milleville worked in the tax department of an international accounting firm.
Memberships and Affiliations
Mr. Milleville was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2008. He is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Mr. Milleville is a Board Member of the Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania, and provides pro bono legal assistance to the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council’s Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts program.
