Area of Emphasis
Chris Hall is an associate in the Energy & Natural Resources and Business Services Groups of Babst Calland. Mr. Hall concentrates his practice in the areas of energy – oil, gas and minerals, business transactions and real estate, counseling clients on a wide range of oil, gas and mineral matters including oil and gas title opinions, title examination, litigation, and contractual and regulatory issues.
Mr. Hall has advised businesses and individuals in various industries including: energy (oil, gas, coal) and real estate.
Background
Mr. Hall received his B.S. in Environmental Science from Westminster College in 2001, and his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2004. He previously worked with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council focusing his efforts on Marcellus Shale regulatory matters, where he co-authored a white paper titled “Environmental Policy and Planning Recommendations for the Development of the Marcellus Shale Play in Pennsylvania. A Report of Findings and Recommendations Based on: The Pennsylvania Marcellus Shale Policy Conference, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.”
Memberships and Affiliations
Mr. Hall is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Environment & Energy Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and a member of the Planning Committee for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s annual Pittsburgh Muscle Team event.
