Area of Emphasis
Erin McCurdy is an associate in the Business Services Group of Babst Calland. Ms. McCurdy’s practice focuses primarily on general corporate transactions, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, corporate governance matters and business planning and structuring. Within the law firm, Ms. McCurdy is a member of the Recruiting Committee, currently managing the Summer Associate Program.
Background
Ms. McCurdy received her undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University, earning a B.A. in Political Science and concentrating in International Studies. She earned her J.D. from Duquesne University where she graduated magna cum laude and received the National Association of Women Lawyers' Outstanding Law Student Award. At Duquesne, Ms. McCurdy served as the Managing Editor of the Duquesne Law Review and the Vice President of the student body. While in law school, she completed an externship with the Honorable Ralph J. Cappy, former Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, served as a student research assistant to both Dean Ken Gormley and Professor Nancy D. Perkins and received two CALI Excellence for Future Awards.
Memberships and Affiliations
Ms. McCurdy is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. Ms. McCurdy sits on the Board of Directors for the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society.
