Jim Escovitz is a shareholder in the Business Services Group of Babst Calland. He has been with the firm since June 1986, shortly after it was founded.

Mr. Escovitz has been providing a broad range of legal services and business advice to clients for more than thirty years. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions (including real estate transactions involving environmentally-impaired properties and wetlands mitigation in connection with Marcellus Shale projects) and equity, debt and other financial transactions. He assists clients with the structuring and creation of business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, joint ventures and other imaginatively-structured strategic alliances. He handles all aspects of business succession plans, including buy-sell agreements, as well as the resolution of disputes among owners of businesses.
