Areas of Emphasis
Lauren Rodriguez is an associate in the Construction Services and Litigation Services Groups of Babst Calland. Her construction litigation experience includes representing owners, contractors, and surety companies in state and federal courts and the American Arbitration Association in cases involving breach of contract, mechanics' liens, payment and performance bonds, delay, disruption, acceleration, differing site conditions, extra work claims, bids, bidding disputes and other construction-related issues. In addition, she has experience in drafting and negotiating construction and commercial contracts.
Background
Ms. Rodriguez received her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 2002. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2005, where she was a member of the Law Review, received the Trial Advocacy Award, the Murray S. Love Trial Moot Court Award and the Community Service Award, and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Prior to joining Babst Calland, Ms. Rodriguez worked as an associate for a Pittsburgh law firm where her practice included construction, land use, corporate and commercial litigation.

Ms. Rodriguez is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. She is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and West Virginia Bar Associations.
