Pete Veltri is an associate in the Business Services Group of Babst Calland. Mr. Veltri’s practice includes representing business clients in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts and real estate agreements; advising clients involved in contract disputes; business planning and structuring.
Background
Mr. Veltri received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in 2001 from the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Information Science. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2005.
While in law school, Mr. Veltri served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judith Fitzgerald in the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. In that Court, Mr. Veltri handled a wide range of bankruptcy issues and assisted in the drafting of several Court opinions. Also while in law school, Mr. Veltri worked as a law clerk with the Cohen Telecommunications law group where he assisted in the drafting and negotiating of cable franchise agreements on behalf of clients. In addition, Mr. Veltri worked as a summer associate for Springer, Bush and Perry, P.C. where he worked on a number of municipal and land use issues.
Memberships and Affiliations
Mr. Veltri was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2005. He is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. Mr. Veltri has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s up-and-coming lawyers since 2011, according to an annual survey published in Philadelphia magazine.
