Robert M. Palumbi

Bobby Palumbi is an associate in the Construction and Litigation Services Groups of Babst Calland. Mr. Palumbi has experience in cases involving the Pennsylvania Mechanics’ Lien Law, the Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act, the Pennsylvania Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, and the Pennsylvania Municipal Torts Claim Act. He also represents clients in a variety of commercial and construction related disputes including products liability claims, construction defect, breach of contract actions, municipal law, and litigation involving energy and natural resources. Mr. Palumbi has litigated these types of issues in Pennsylvania and West Virginia state and federal courts.


Mr. Palumbi received his B.S. in Political Science from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 2005. While in college, he worked for a private company that secured funding for 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.

Mr. Palumbi received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2009. During his law school career, he completed a judicial externship for the Honorable Terrence W. O’Brien of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.

Memberships and Affiliations

Mr. Palumbi was admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars in 2009 and the West Virginia Bar in 2010. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, as well as to the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Mr. Palumbi is a member of the Allegheny and Butler County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and serves as a contributing member to the DRI’s Construction and Product Liability Committees and as Vice Chair of the Construction Committee Community Page.

Mr. Palumbi has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s up-and-coming lawyers since 2013, according to an annual survey published in Philadelphia Magazine.
