Area of Emphasis
Shannon DeHarde is an associate in the Litigation Group. Ms. DeHarde focuses her practice primarily on toxic tort matters. Her practice also includes other general civil litigation matters, such as product liability claims and oil and gas lease disputes. She has represented companies in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. Her experience includes defending oil and gas operators against multiple state law claims and working closely with and opposing technical and medical expert witnesses regarding toxic exposures.
Ms. DeHarde received her B.A. in History from Lafayette College in 2010 where she graduated cum laude. In 2013, she received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Ms. DeHarde served as a topics editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. She also served as a teaching assistant in the legal writing department.
Prior to joining Babst Calland, Ms. DeHarde worked in the energy litigation department at an international law firm where she focused her practice on oil and gas related toxic tort matters and lease disputes.

Ms. DeHarde is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
