Abigail Faulkner Jones

Area of Emphasis

Abigail Faulkner Jones is an associate in the Environmental Services Group of Babst Calland. Ms. Jones advises industrial and energy sector clients on regulatory compliance, primarily concentrating on issues related to water, waste and remediation. Her practice also involves assisting clients with responses to notices of violation and enforcement actions, as well as the defense of third-party appeals.


In 2002, Ms. Jones graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College where she earned a B.A. in Engineering Sciences and a B.E. in Environmental Engineering. In 2005, she earned a Master of Science in Engineering from Princeton University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Jones was an engineer for a large environmental consulting firm, specializing in the design and evaluation of bioremediation projects at contaminated sites.

Ms. Jones is a 2011 summa cum laude graduate of Duke University School of Law, where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship. She was Lead Articles Editor for Law & Contemporary Problems, Duke’s oldest law journal, and served on the executive board of the Environmental Law Society. Ms. Jones was also a teaching assistant for first-year criminal law. She was elected to the Order of the Coif.
As a law student, Ms. Jones participated in the Summer Law Intern Program (SLIP) with the U.S. Department of Justice. Her SLIP internship was in the Environmental Crimes section of the Environment and Natural Resources Division.

Following law school, Ms. Jones clerked for the Honorable Gary L. Lancaster, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Memberships and Affiliations

Ms. Jones is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
