DESCRIPTION:Attorney Jim Curry will be presenting a regulatory update at the 2017 American Petroleum Institute Conference\, April 25-26\, 2017. This session seeks to bring attendees up to speed on the regulatory landscape with PHMSA. First\, the presentation will cover ongoing rulemakings and the impacts of the Administration’s regulatory freeze/regulatory rollback initiatives. Second\, it will cover recent civil penalty guidance; organization\, roles and responsibilities of the Office of Chief Counsel; and some agency perspectives on the enforcement process. And\, last\, it will review recent experiences in regulatory interpretation and enforcement\, along with a practitioner’s view of “what’s in and what’s out” of the pending regulations.
