DESCRIPTION:Babst Calland joins the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust for The Rock ‘n’ Soul Gala on Friday\, September 8\, 2017. This year’s Gala remembers the rich history of the Stanley Theatre which opened in 1928 and re-opened as the Benedum Center in 1987. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will toast the theater’s heyday as home to the rock and roll movement of the 60s\, 70s and early 80s when it was named as the number one performance venue in the United States. Some of the top performers during its prime included Little Richard\, The Beatles\, The Rolling Stones\, Jerry Garcia\, KISS\, Prince and Bob Marley. The festivities begin on the downbeat with cocktails under the tent. Dinner catches the upbeat on the stage of the Benedum Center and a private performance by VINTAGE TROUBLE.
