DESCRIPTION:Join Babst Calland at Shale Insight 2017\, September 27-28\, 2017. Shale Insight 2017 will provide participants a front-row seat for the most important discussions on shale development\, featuring some of the most prominent industry and government leaders. Attendees will network with the most influential industry executives and innovative thought leaders through two days of technical and public affairs insight sessions\, major keynote addresses\, and a dynamic exhibit hall featuring all the major shale players. \nAttorneys Kevin Garber and Blaine Lucas will be participating in a session titled “Regulatory Update:  Tracking the Ever-Changing Regulatory Environment in the Appalachian Basin.”  Over the last several years\, Ohio\, Pennsylvania and West Virginia have made significant updates to regulations that govern Marcellus and Utica shale development\, including air permitting and local land use regulations. In this session\, experts will discuss the latest regulatory updates in each state and share how they are navigating the changing regulatory environment. For more information\, click here. \nAttorney Meredith Odato Graham will be participating in a session titled “Air is the New Water.” Air compliance regulations are intersecting with increased public interest and inquiry regarding air quality where the oil and gas industry operates. Air permitting\, compliance and management are factors in the industry’s overall operational excellence\, social license to operate and protection of shareholder value. This workshop will focus on air regulations that are driving compliance monitoring\, inquiry response and risk management.
