DESCRIPTION:Babst Calland joins The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law for its Special Institute on Siting Renewable Energy Projects and Transmission Infrastructure\, May 29-30\, 2025. Attorney Blaine Lucas will serve as a panelist for “Trends and Challenges in Local Government Permitting and State Responses.” This panel will provide a broad survey of the current local government regulatory landscape for renewable energy projects\, including local government efforts to discourage or prevent renewable energy development\, state-level efforts to preempt or counterbalance local opposition\, strategies for working around roadblocks with siting entities\, and notable litigation involving local and state permitting.
