Industry in this region has evolved to a diverse portfolio of energy suppliers\, manufacturing plants\, medical facilities and technology companies that are harnessing energy in sustainable and innovative ways. \nBabst Calland Attorney Donald Bluedorn will share some of his experiences as Special Environmental Counsel for Freedom Industries\, Inc. regarding the January 2014 MCHM release to the Elk River in Charleston\, W. Va. He has more than 30 years of experience dealing with complex environmental legal and crisis issues including the Freedom matter and other environmental crisis matter. He will lead a panel discussion that will present a practical road map for navigating environmental crisis management issues. \nAttorney Kathy Condo will be a panelist on Air Pollution and Human Health: Response to Public Complaint. This panel consisting of a plant representative\, physician\, lawyer\, and risk assessor will discuss a  scenario of potential human health impacts and explain their roles in responding to the scenario.
