Matthew L. Lambach

Area of Emphasis

Matthew Lambach is an associate in the Energy and Natural Resources Group of Babst Calland. Mr. Lambach is also a member of the Firm’s Pipeline and HazMat Safety Practice. He counsels clients on federal and state pipeline safety issues related to gas and hazardous liquids pipelines, and on the regulations for transportation of hazardous materials by other modes. In addition, he counsels various energy, oil, gas and mineral-related clients on transaction matters as they relate to gas title issues and opinions.


Mr. Lambach received his B.A. in History and Environmental Studies, as well as his Master of Environmental Studies, from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2011, he received his J.D. from Duquesne University where he graduated cum laude. At Duquesne, Mr. Lambach served as President of the Student Bar Association and Managing Editor of the Duquesne Business Law Journal, as well as a teaching assistant in the Legal Research and Writing Program. While in law school, he also interned for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and CONSOL Energy Inc. Before joining Babst Calland, he was an associate with a firm in Washington, Pennsylvania that concentrated on coal and mineral law and commercial real estate law.
