Meredith L. Calfe
Area of Emphasis
Meredith Calfe is an associate in the Energy and Natural Resources Group of Babst Calland. Ms. Calfe counsels various energy, oil, gas and mineral-related clients on transaction matters as they relate to gas title issues and opinions.
Ms. Calfe graduated cum laude from Bucknell University in 2006, with a B.A. in Economics and minors in Biology and Philosophy. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2009, where she completed the Civil Litigation Certificate Program and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Trial Advocacy. After law school, Ms. Calfe worked with a small law firm where she assisted clients with a variety of small business, transactional and real estate matters. Prior to joining Babst Calland, Ms. Calfe was a land agent for a natural gas broker where she worked on title and curative matters.
Memberships and Affiliations
Ms. Calfe is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania State Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member and past Chair of the Arts and the Law Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Assemble, a nonprofit providing Pittsburgh students with experiential learning opportunities in the fields of science, technology, engineering and art.
Since 2015, Ms. Calfe has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s up-and-coming lawyers, according to an annual survey published in Philadelphia magazine.
