Brian W. Kreit
Area of Emphasis
Brian Kreit is an associate in the Construction and Litigation groups of Babst Calland. Mr. Kreit has experience in cases involving the Pennsylvania Prompt Payment Act, Mechanics’ Lien Law, and the Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act (CASPA). He represents contractors, subcontractors, joint venture partners, design engineers and projects owners in a variety of construction-related disputes including but not limited to differing site conditions, delay and inefficiency, performance and payment bond claims, and contractor performance disputes.
Mr. Kreit also has experience coordinating the gathering, review, and analysis of complex e-discovery matters related to significant, multi-million dollar disputes.
Mr. Kreit received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2015. While in law school, Mr. Kreit earned the Duquesne Law Alumni Association Excellence in Legal Writing Award, the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and an additional Best Brief designation on his transcript for his continued success in Legal Writing. He also completed an externship with the Honorable Chief Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and excelled in a full-time career at PNC Bank, working as a Business Analyst overseeing the implementation and oversight of both federal and state regulations and consumer lending guidelines.
Mr. Kreit received his B.A. in Information Sciences and Technology and a minor in Supply Chain Analytics, from the Pennsylvania State University at University Park in 2008.

Mr. Kreit was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2015 and is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar associations.
