Area of Emphasis

Coleman Anglin is a shareholder in Babst Calland’s Energy and Natural Resources Group. Mr. Anglin concentrates his practice in the areas of oil and gas and transactional law. Background

Prior to joining Babst Calland, Mr. Anglin was with the Chambers Law Firm in Houston, Texas. A Dallas-Fort Worth native, he began his academic career at Southern Methodist University, where he focused on Philosophy and Foreign Languages in the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences. While earning his J.D. from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, he worked as a landman and abstractor, which served as his entrance to the energy field. After graduating, the National Order of Barristers inducted him into their ranks in recognition of his exemplary appellate and oral advocacy skills. Upon his admission to the State Bar of Texas, Coleman went into the service of a U.S. Congressman. He left the public sector to pursue a career in oil, gas and mineral law and – over the past several years – he has focused his practice heavily on the evolving Marcellus Shale states.
