Kathleen M. Klapkowski

Kathleen Klapkowski is an associate in the Energy and Natural Resources Group of Babst Calland. Ms. Klapkowski counsels various energy, oil, gas and mineral-related clients on transaction matters, including title examination, title curative, and oil and gas title opinions.
Ms. Klapkowski graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015, earning her B.A. in Sociology. She received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2018. Ms. Klapkowski was a recipient of the Duquesne University School of Law Academic Scholar Scholarship for three consecutive years, and the Duquesne Law Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship. She also received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Environmental Considerations in Business & Real Estate.
During law school, Ms. Klapkowski served as the Executive Content Editor of Joule: Duquesne Energy & Environmental Law Journal, and was a member of the Women’s Law Association and Phi Alpha Delta. Additionally, she had the privilege of working as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable David S. Cercone, United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Klapkowski also received a certificate in basic resolution training. She began her Babst Calland career in May 2017 as a summer associate and continued to work on a part-time basis during her third year of law school.

Ms. Klapkowski is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar associations, Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania, and Women’s Energy Network (WEN).
