Nataliya K. Tipton

Area of Emphasis

Nataliya Tipton is an associate in the Energy and Natural Resources Group of Babst Calland. Ms. Tipton’s practice focuses primarily in the examination of title for the preparation of oil and gas title opinions and the drafting of associated curative, transactional documents.


Ms. Tipton received her J. D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2006 and her B.A. from the University of Houston Honors College in 2002, graduating summa cum laude in Political Science, with a minor in History.

Prior to joining Babst Calland, she was with the Chambers Law Firm in Houston, Texas. She also previously worked in the litigation department of a Houston law firm where she handled a variety of damage suits and commercial contract disputes and supervised junior associates in the defense and prosecution of a variety of contested matters.

Memberships and Affiliations

Ms. Tipton is admitted to practice in Texas and Oklahoma. Nataliya is fluent in the Russian language, which has allowed her an opportunity to represent a number of entities and individuals from Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She is a member of the Texas State Bar Section on Oil and Gas Law and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
