Edward D. Phillips

Area of Emphasis

Ed Phillips in an attorney in the Litigation Group of Babst Calland. Mr. Phillips has a broad range of litigation experience in several areas including environmental and complex commercial litigation, employment litigation, and litigation involving real property, such as title disputes, tax appeals, and eminent domain. Prior to joining Babst Calland, Mr. Phillips was a lawyer at both an international law firm and a national law firm.

Background

Mr. Phillips received his J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law, where he was the executive editor of the Penn State Law Review.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Phillips was a musician and a university faculty member.  Mr. Phillips holds a doctorate degree and a master’s degree in music from the University of North Texas, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.

Memberships and Affiliations

Mr. Phillips is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
