Edward D. Phillips

Area of Emphasis

Ed Phillips is an associate in the Litigation Group of Babst Calland.  He primarily works in areas of complex commercial litigation.  Mr. Phillips has experience in all stages of litigation, from drafting dispositive motions, discovery, settlement, and trial.  Prior to joining Babst Calland, Mr. Phillips was an associate in the Pittsburgh offices of an international law firm and a national law firm.

Background

Mr. Phillips received his J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law, where he was the executive editor of the Penn State Law Review.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Phillips was a musician and a university faculty member.  Mr. Phillips holds a doctorate degree and a master’s degree in music from the University of North Texas, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.

Memberships and Affiliations

Mr. Phillips is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
