Jessica Lynn Deyoe

Area of Emphasis

Jessica Deyoe is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Environmental Group. Her practice involves client counseling on compliance with federal and state environmental laws and regulations, resolving liabilities under federal and state remediation programs, and advising clients on significant environmental liability and compliance issues arising in various types of transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Deyoe practiced law in Massachusetts, where she gained substantial experience in PFAS, asbestos, and environmental defense litigation. She also presented on a range of issues to insurers, including PFAS and climate change and their impacts. In her role as part of a National Counsel team for a large corporation, she gained experience in trial preparation, document review, and litigation management.

Background

Ms. Deyoe graduated from Ithaca College in 2015, earning a B.A. in Legal Studies with minors in Philosophy and Politics. While in undergraduate studies, she was awarded the Ithaca College Legal Studies Scholar Award for outstanding legal research and writing.

In 2018, Ms. Deyoe graduated cum laude from Penn State Law with a concentration in Environmental Law and was admitted to the Woolsack Society. Ms. Deyoe served as an Associate Editor of Penn State Law Review in her second year and served as the Executive Comments Editor during her third year. She also interned for the Center for Agricultural and Shale Law at Penn State and served as a research assistant for Professor Ross Pifer.

Memberships and Affiliations

Ms. Deyoe is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Ms. Deyoe was an integral member of the PFAS Litigation and Regulatory Team recognized by National Law Review as their first and only PFAS Thought Leaders in 2020.
