Joseph E. (Jed) Meadows
Area of Emphasis
Jed Meadows is an associate attorney in the Energy and Natural Resources and Litigation groups of Babst Calland. Mr. Meadows’ work includes representing clients in energy and commercial litigation, insurance matters, and all phases of civil litigation. Additionally, he assists clients in corporate representation and business formation matters.
Background
Mr. Meadows earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2025, where he graduated with high honors. While in law school, he served as an editor on the University of Tennessee College of Law’s business law review journal Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. Additionally, Mr. Meadows participated in the Environmental Law Organization, the Christian Legal Society, the Energy and Natural Resources Society, the Statewide Organizing for Community Empowerment (SOCM) Independent Drafting Study, and he studied abroad at Cambridge University in 2023. Mr. Meadows graduated summa cum laude from Marshall University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting.
Memberships and Affiliations
Mr. Meadows is admitted to practice to the West Virginia Bar and before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. Mr. Meadows is also a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia and the West Virginia, Tennessee, and Knoxville Bar associations.
