Peter D. Zittel
Area of Emphasis
Peter Zittel is an associate in the Public Sector Group of Babst Calland. His practice focuses on representing both public and private sector clients in matters involving land use, zoning, subdivision and land development, and code enforcement. Mr. Zittel assists municipal clients with the interpretation, drafting, and enforcement of local ordinances, as well as advising private developers and property owners navigating Pennsylvania’s Municipalities Planning Code.
Background
Mr. Zittel earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2022. He received his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2025 and, through a joint degree program, also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University’s School of Business in 2025. During law school, Mr. Zittel served as a staff editor for the Duquesne Law Review. He also served as a summer associate at Babst Calland in 2024.
Memberships and Affiliations
Mr. Zittel is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA). He is an active participant in the School and Municipal Law Section of the ACBA.
