Pennsylvania – Mining

In May 2023, Governor Shapiro awarded $7.8 million resulting from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Pub. L. No. 117-58, 135 Stat. 429 (2021), to fund projects for the reclamation of abandoned mine land, abatement of acid mine drainage through reclamation, or treatment of acid mine drainage through the construction, operation, or maintenance of an acid mine drainage treatment facility. See Press Release, Pa.
